The Seacrest Alumni Association invites you to participate in the 2nd Annual Alumni Volleyball Game and the 7th Annual Alumni Softball Game in Memory of Jeffrey Ortiz '12 that will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:00 am and 11:00 am followed by a homerun derby, fun & games and tailgate with food trucks. About Jeffrey Ortiz '12 Jeffrey Ortiz, a member of the class of 2012, was an unforgettable young man both for the things he did and the way he did them. He was fun-loving, engaging, creative, and a talented and dedicated athlete. In December of 2014, Jeffrey's death shocked and saddened the entire Seacrest community, his classmates and friends were not ready to forget him. To keep his memory alive, the Alumni Softball Game in Memory of Jeffrey Ortiz '12 was established. "Big Papi", as Jeffrey was affectionately known, left a mark on the Seacrest community and he will always hold a special place in our hearts! A scholarship was established in Jeffrey's name and is awarded each year to a graduating senior who has been: ~ A committed athlete for his/her entire Upper School career, ~ A positive and actively involved member of the school community, and ~ A student who consistently exhibits a spirit of joy and compassion. All qualities and traits, much like Jeffrey had. The Softball Game will begin at 11:00 am. ******************************************************************** Traditionally Seacrest Alumni and Alumni Families gathered to reunite over a game of friendly competition held during the Thanksgiving holiday break. The Seacrest Friendsgiving celebration has been over a game of basketball for alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff to participate in, but last year we mixed it up and challenged the Seacrest community to a game of Volleyball. It was such a success we decided to continue with the new tradition. Please join in on this Seacrest tradition, and get ready to bring it back to the court. The Volleyball Game will begin at 10:00 am.
